Ward Talmadge
Ward
is LUMA’s Chief Operating Officer, charged with overseeing product manufacturing ramp up. He recently retired from Chrysler and brings more than 40 years of hands-on experience in successfully designing and improving fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and building supplier relationships. Ward understands not only how LUMA’s manufacturing process should work, but how it will have to work to achieve LUMA’s product quality, cost, and production targets.
Becoming a Journeyman Tool and Diemaker early in his career, he retired from Chrysler a Manufacturing and Finance Engineer, after leading numerous projects with Chrysler suppliers throughout the US, and in Japan, Mexico and Canada. Combining his shop floor experience and manufacturing know-how with his teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills, Ward received consistent commendations for helping Chrysler suppliers improve their manufacturing processes, cost containment and quality control. In the mid-1990s, Ward obtained a Bachelor’s Degree Summa cum Laude in Industrial Management from Baker College in Flint, Michigan
